ACTOR & CREATOR

I feel myself to be full and alive when I am seen by others. It gives me the opportunity to share with others the stories that remind us we are not alone and that while we may sometimes falter we will continue to strive to leave this world better than we found it. Myth has always been the cure to human loneliness and to be one of the humans telling the story makes me a part of that cure.

STORIES ARE THE CURE TO LONELINESS

Sam Gonzalez is an actor, dancer, and theatre producer based in New York City. Originally from Bayside, Queens, Sam has been stirring pots and casting spells onstage from the age of 5. He began his foray into dance after a quintessential “I Can Do That” moment while selling snacks at a local dance studio when he was 14. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts Drama Department, Sam has been acting in NYC and producing theatre with his theatre company, The Joust Theatre Company, ever since. He has performed in such venues as Ars Nova, Joe’s Pub, The Bushwick Starr, and Atlantic Theater Company’s Linda Gross Theater. He is currently a teacher at the Atlantic Acting School, his alma mater, where he teaches Script Analysis to the full-time conservatory and NYU cohorts. Sam has also been a company member of Pipeline Theatre Company since 2018.
